Medical Grade Skincare Houston, TX

The products your skin needs to actually do something, available in-office with guidance from people who know your skin.

There’s a meaningful difference between what you buy at a department store and what we carry at FACE/FIT, and it comes down to what’s actually in the product and at what concentration. Medical-grade skincare uses active ingredients at clinical concentrations that over-the-counter formulas can’t legally use. That’s not marketing language. It’s why patients who’ve tried every serum at Sephora and still aren’t seeing results notice a difference when they start using the right products.

We carry three professional skincare lines at FACE/FIT: SkinBetter Science, Hydrinity, and Revision Skincare. Each one has a distinct profile and addresses different skin priorities. We don’t sell all three to everyone. We sell the right products for your specific skin, based on an actual assessment.

Why Medical Grade Skincare is Different

The difference comes down to three things: ingredient quality, concentration, and formulation.

Concentration: The active ingredients that actually change skin, including retinoids, vitamin C, peptides, and growth factors, are present in medical-grade products at concentrations that produce measurable results. Retail products are often formulated at concentrations too low to produce the change they advertise, because higher concentrations require professional oversight and proper introduction to the skin.

Formulation: Medical-grade products are formulated for stability and penetration. A vitamin C serum that oxidizes in two weeks isn’t delivering active vitamin C to your skin. Products that can’t penetrate beyond the surface aren’t reaching the dermis where the meaningful changes happen. Professional formulations are developed and tested for both.

Ingredient quality: The raw materials matter. Medical-grade brands use pharmaceutical-grade ingredients with documented clinical research behind them, not the cheapest available version of a trending ingredient.

Professional guidance: Buying a retinoid or a high-percentage acid without understanding how to introduce it, layer it, and adjust for your skin’s response is one of the most common ways patients compromise their barrier and set back their results. Getting the right products with proper guidance on how to use them is a meaningful part of what makes medical-grade skincare work.

The Brands We Carry

We’ve selected three professional lines that cover different skin priorities and complement the treatments we offer.

SkinBetter Science SkinBetter Science is known for some of the most innovative active ingredient delivery systems in professional skincare. Their AlphaRet formula combines a retinoid with an alpha-hydroxy acid in a way that delivers anti-aging results comparable to traditional retinoids with significantly less irritation, making it accessible to patients who previously couldn’t tolerate retinol products. Their Interfuse line uses a patented microinfusion technology that drives active ingredients deeper than standard topical application. We use SkinBetter Science serums in our DiamondGlow treatments and as core recommendations for patients focused on anti-aging and texture improvement.

Hydrinity Hydrinity specializes in next-generation hyaluronic acid formulations, including HA-Rx, a proprietary form of hyaluronic acid designed for superior hydration depth and retention. Hydrinity products are particularly effective for patients dealing with barrier compromise, dehydration, and the dryness and sensitivity that can follow more intensive treatments like microneedling or chemical peels. If your skin tends toward sensitivity, reactivity, or post-treatment dryness, Hydrinity is often where we start.

Revision Skincare Revision has one of the most comprehensive professional skincare lines available, covering everything from their Intellishade SPF moisturizers (a genuine daily-use cornerstone for most skin types) to targeted brightening, anti-aging, and acne-focused products. Their Nectifirm Advanced is a recognized standout for neck and décolletage skin quality. Revision is often the foundation of a balanced daily skincare protocol: cleanser, treatment product, moisturizer, and SPF, all from a single clinical line.

Building the Right Routine for Your Skin

A proper medical-grade skincare routine doesn’t need to be complicated, and it doesn’t need to be twelve steps. Most skin responds well to a focused protocol: a cleanser appropriate for your skin type, one or two targeted treatment products, a barrier-supporting moisturizer, and a broad-spectrum SPF every single morning without exception.

Where patients go wrong is either doing too much (layering multiple actives without understanding how they interact, introducing retinoids too aggressively) or doing too little (buying high-quality products and not using them consistently).

At your skincare consultation, we’ll assess your skin, ask about your current routine, and build a protocol around what your skin actually needs. We’re not trying to sell you a full counter of products. We’ll identify the two or three things that will make the most meaningful difference and explain exactly how and when to use them.

SPF: The Most Important Product in Any Routine

We’d be doing a disservice not to say this clearly: broad-spectrum SPF used every morning is the single highest-return product in any skincare routine, regardless of skin type, age, or concern. It prevents the UV damage that causes most of the pigmentation, textural aging, and barrier compromise we treat in-office. It protects every result you invest in through your treatments.

We recommend SPF to every patient without exception. Revision’s Intellishade line in particular combines SPF with skincare actives in a formula that’s genuinely pleasant to wear daily, which is the biggest practical barrier most patients face with SPF compliance.

Skincare That Extends Your Treatment Results

One of the most underutilized aspects of professional skincare is how significantly the right products extend and protect the results of in-office treatments.

After a chemical peel: barrier-supportive products and targeted actives help maintain the resurfacing results and prevent the pigmentation from returning.

After microneedling: the right serum applied during the healing window extends the collagen response and supports the skin through the recovery period.

After DiamondGlow: continuing the serum infusion results with a compatible at-home product maintains hydration and active ingredient levels between sessions.

Before and after laser treatments: pre-treatment skin preparation with appropriate products reduces risk and improves outcomes; post-treatment care is critical to protecting the skin and preventing complications.

The treatments we offer work best when the skin going into them is healthy and the care afterward is appropriate. Medical-grade skincare is a meaningful part of both.

Online vs. In-Office

Some of our skincare products are available for purchase online through the Skinbetter Science portal. However, for most patients we strongly recommend an in-office consultation before purchasing, particularly for active treatment products. Starting a retinoid, an acid, or a vitamin C at the wrong concentration for your skin or in the wrong order in your routine can compromise your barrier and set your results back.

Buying the right product the right way the first time is worth more than the convenience of ordering without guidance.

Who This Is For

Medical-grade skincare is appropriate for virtually everyone who’s serious about their skin health. A few specific profiles who tend to see the most immediate impact:

Patients who’ve been told they have “sensitive” skin and have given up on active ingredients after bad reactions. Often the problem wasn’t the ingredient category but the formulation, the concentration, or the introduction approach.

Patients who’ve invested in in-office treatments and want to protect and extend those results at home.

Patients who feel their current skincare routine isn’t working and aren’t sure why. The answer is usually in the ingredients and concentrations.

Patients who’ve had good results with prescription skincare but want to maintain with professional-grade products rather than ongoing prescriptions.
