The Realistic Results Conversation
This is the most important conversation to have before booking, and we’d rather have it here than have you arrive with misaligned expectations.
Liquid BBL adds genuine volume and lift that is visible and satisfying for the right patient. Typical volume added per session ranges from subtle to moderate depending on the number of vials used. It’s not the volume change of a surgical BBL, which can add significant amounts of fat. Patients who’ve seen very dramatic Liquid BBL results online were either treated with large amounts of product over multiple sessions, used heavily edited photos, or both.
For patients with realistic expectations, specifically those wanting hip dip correction, a lifted upper buttock appearance, moderate volume enhancement, or improved skin quality in the area, the results are excellent and consistently among the highest patient satisfaction outcomes we see.
Duration of results varies. Collagen stimulation from Radiesse continues building for up to a year after treatment. How long the overall volume effect lasts depends on your metabolism, the number of vials used, and individual variation. We’re conservative about duration claims rather than overpromising and underdelivering.
What to Expect
A Liquid BBL appointment at FACE/FIT takes 45 to 60 minutes. Topical numbing and local anesthetic are used to ensure your comfort throughout the procedure.
Before your appointment: Avoid blood-thinning supplements (fish oil, vitamin E, aspirin) for several days beforehand. Come in comfortable clothing that provides easy access to the treatment area. Arrive at a stable weight, since significant weight change after treatment affects how results look and last.
During the treatment: Your provider will mark the injection points based on your anatomy and goals. HD Radiesse is injected in targeted placements using a combination of needles and cannulas depending on the specific area. The treatment is well tolerated with numbing in place.
Immediately after: Some swelling and tenderness at injection sites is normal and resolves within a few days. Results are visible immediately, though swelling means the initial appearance is slightly more than the settled result.
After care: Avoid sitting or lying directly on the treated area for a few hours post-treatment. Strenuous exercise should be avoided for 24 to 48 hours. Avoid deep tissue massage of the treated area.
When results settle: Most of the initial swelling resolves within one to two weeks. At that point you’re seeing the true immediate result. The progressive collagen response continues building over the following months, with many patients noticing continued improvement three to six months after treatment.
Multiple sessions: Some patients are satisfied with a single session. Others return for a second treatment to add more volume or refine the result. We’ll discuss your options at your follow-up based on how the initial treatment settled.
Is Liquid BBL Right for You?
