Botox in Houston, TX

If you’ve been thinking about Botox, you’ve probably already done some research. You know it works. What you’re trying to figure out is whether it’ll look natural, and whether you can trust the person doing it. Both are fair questions, and we’re happy to answer them.

At FACE/FIT, Botox is one of our most requested treatments and one we take seriously. Our injectors take a full-face approach to every consultation, assess your muscle movement before recommending anything, and start conservatively. The goal is never to freeze your face. It’s to make you look like yourself, just more rested, more refreshed, and a little more like how you feel on your best day.

What Botox Actually Does

Botox is a purified protein that temporarily relaxes the muscles responsible for expression lines – the ones that cause forehead creases, the lines between your brows, and the crinkles at the corners of your eyes. It doesn’t fill anything or change your face structurally. It just gives those muscles a break, which smooths the skin above them.

Results kick in within three to five days and fully settle around the two-week mark. Most patients maintain with a visit every three to four months, though with consistent treatment over time many find they can stretch that out.

One thing we hear from new patients a lot: “I don’t want to look frozen.” That’s a treatment decision, not a Botox problem. Frozen results come from too much product in the wrong places. The right injector uses the right amount in the right spots and knows when to stop.

What We Treat With Botox

Botox at FACE/FIT isn’t just for forehead lines. Depending on your goals and facial anatomy, we use it across a range of areas:

Expression lines: Forehead, glabella (the “11s” between your brows), and crow’s feet are the most common. These are the lines most people come in for first.

Preventative treatment: If you’re in your mid to late twenties or thirties and starting to notice lines forming, early Botox can actually slow that process. Many of our patients start before the lines are deep.

Brow lift: A small amount placed strategically under the brow can lift and open the eye area without any surgery.

Bunny lines: The diagonal creases on the sides of your nose when you scrunch your face. Small amount, easy fix.

Lip flip: A few units above the upper lip relaxes the muscle slightly so the lip appears fuller and more defined, without adding any filler.

Chin dimpling: Smooths the orange-peel texture that appears on the chin with movement.

Jawline slimming and TMJ relief: Injected into the masseter muscles, Botox can slim a square jaw and significantly reduce grinding and TMJ discomfort. This gets its own page because it deserves a longer explanation: see our Masseter Botox page.

Neck: The platysmal bands, vertical cords that become visible in the neck with age, respond well to Botox, creating what’s sometimes called a “Nefertiti lift.”

Hyperhidrosis: Botox injected into the underarms is an FDA-approved treatment for excessive sweating. Life-changing for the right patient.

Is Botox Right for You?

Most adults in good general health are candidates. Here’s the honest version of what we look for:

You’re a good fit if you’re dealing with dynamic wrinkles – lines that appear with expression – and want to soften them without surgery. You’re also a good fit if you’re on the younger end and interested in prevention.

Botox isn’t the right tool for deep static lines (lines present at rest regardless of movement), skin laxity, or volume loss. Those need different treatments, and we’ll tell you that in the consultation rather than just booking you anyway.

Botox isn’t appropriate during pregnancy or breastfeeding, or if you have certain neuromuscular conditions. We review your health history at every consultation.

The most important thing is that your expectations are realistic. Botox is temporary, it requires maintenance, and the results, when done right, are subtle. If you’re hoping for a dramatic transformation, we’d rather have that conversation up front than have you disappointed with a great result.

What to Expect

The treatment itself takes 15 to 30 minutes. We assess your movement, mark the injection points, and use a fine needle. Most patients describe it as a quick pinch. No numbing is usually needed, though it’s available.

After your appointment:

The first 24 hours: Don’t rub or massage the treated areas. Stay upright for four hours. Skip the gym, saunas, and alcohol for the day. These precautions help keep the product exactly where we placed it.

Days two through five: Results start to appear. You may notice some mild redness or very slight swelling at injection sites. This is normal and fades quickly.

Days ten to fourteen: Full results. This is when we ask you to come back for a complimentary follow-up if needed. If anything needs a small touch-up, we take care of it then.

Three to four months out: Most patients return for their next session. With consistent treatment over time, many find their results lasting longer as the muscles learn to relax.

NEUROTOXINS
AVAILABLE at FACE/FIT

We offer the full range of FDA-approved neurotoxins and will help you choose based on your goals:

Botox – the original, most studied neurotoxin. Reliable onset and duration.

Dysport – spreads slightly more than Botox, which makes it well suited for larger areas like the forehead. Some patients find it kicks in a day or two faster.

Xeomin – a “naked” neurotoxin with no accessory proteins, which may be beneficial for patients who have developed resistance to other neurotoxins over time.

Daxxify – the newest FDA-approved neurotoxin, notable for its extended duration. Many patients see results lasting six months or longer.

Not sure which is right for you? We’ll help you decide at your consultation.

Why FACE/FIT for Botox in Houston

There are a lot of places to get Botox in Houston. Here’s what makes FACE/FIT different:

Our injectors are board-certified medical professionals – a Baylor-trained physician and certified nurse practitioners with years of aesthetic experience. We don’t employ estheticians injecting under a medical director they never see. The person assessing your face is the same person injecting it.

We start conservatively. It’s easier to add than to undo, and we’d rather bring you back for a touch-up than over-treat on the first visit.

We’re transparent about pricing. There are no surprise fees and no upsells. If we think a different treatment would serve you better, we’ll tell you.

We see patients of all backgrounds, skin tones, and body types. Aesthetic care should be for everyone.
