DiamondGlow Facial in Houston, TX

Three steps in one treatment. Exfoliation, extraction, and medical-grade serum infusion, all at once.

DiamondGlow is a skin resurfacing treatment that does something most facials can’t: it exfoliates, clears congestion, and delivers active ingredients deep into the skin simultaneously rather than sequentially. The result is immediate and visible, which is part of why it’s become one of our most booked skin treatments.

What makes it genuinely different from a standard facial is the delivery mechanism. The diamond-tipped handpiece creates a gentle vacuum that exfoliates the surface, suctions out debris from pores, and infuses the skin with a targeted serum in one continuous motion. The serum goes in while the channel is open, which means deeper absorption than anything you could achieve by applying it topically after treatment.

How DiamondGlow Works

The treatment uses a proprietary handpiece with a diamond-tipped exfoliation surface and a simultaneous vacuum action. As the tip passes over the skin, it does three things at once:

Exfoliates: The diamond tip removes dead skin cells and surface buildup, resurfacing the outermost layer without heat, chemicals, or downtime.

Extracts: The vacuum pressure clears congestion from pores, removing the debris that causes blackheads and dull, congested skin.

Infuses: A medical-grade serum is delivered into the skin through the same channel created by exfoliation, reaching deeper than topical application can achieve.

The serum selected for your treatment is customized to your skin concerns. Brightening, hydrating, clarifying, or anti-aging formulas are matched to what your skin actually needs that day.

Restore volume and smoothness to your skin with our dermal fillers that provide a youthful, natural-looking enhancement.

DiamondGlow vs. HydraFacial

This is the question we get most often from patients who’ve done any research, so it’s worth answering directly.

Both DiamondGlow and HydraFacial use a vortex or vacuum-assisted exfoliation and infusion process, and both deliver immediate results with no downtime. The category is similar. The meaningful differences are in the details.

The serums: DiamondGlow uses SkinMedica serums, which are medical-grade formulations developed for clinical use. HydraFacial uses its own proprietary booster formulas. The medical-grade distinction matters for the quality and concentration of active ingredients being infused.

The tip: DiamondGlow uses a real diamond-tip exfoliating surface, which provides more precise and consistent resurfacing than some HydraFacial tip variations.

Customization: Both treatments can be customized, but DiamondGlow’s serum selection through the SkinMedica range allows for a more targeted clinical approach to specific skin concerns.

Availability: DiamondGlow is a medical device available through licensed medical providers. HydraFacial is more widely available, including in spa settings without medical oversight.

Neither is universally “better.” The right choice depends on your skin concerns and what you’re trying to achieve. We carry DiamondGlow specifically because we believe the medical-grade serum delivery produces better clinical outcomes for our patients.

What DiamondGlow Treats

DiamondGlow is effective across a wide range of skin concerns, which is part of why it works well as a standalone treatment and as a complement to other services.

Dull, congested skin: The combination of exfoliation and extraction delivers an immediate clarity and brightness that patients describe as looking like they’ve been on vacation for a week.

Dehydration: The hyaluronic acid-based infusion serums restore surface hydration at a depth topical products can’t reach.

Uneven texture: Regular treatments smooth the skin surface progressively, reducing the roughness that accumulates from sun exposure, dead cell buildup, and mild scarring.

Mild pigmentation and uneven tone: Brightening serums address surface discoloration and contribute to a more even complexion with a series of treatments.

Fine surface lines: Exfoliation and improved hydration soften the appearance of fine lines, particularly those caused by dryness and surface texture rather than deep structural aging.

Pre-event glow: DiamondGlow is one of the best pre-event treatments because the results are immediate, there’s no downtime, and the skin looks genuinely luminous the same day.

What to Expect

A DiamondGlow treatment takes approximately 30 to 45 minutes. There’s no numbing required and no downtime.

Before your appointment: Arrive with clean skin if possible. Avoid retinoids and exfoliating acids for two to three days beforehand. If you have active breakouts or very inflamed skin, let us know when booking.

During the treatment: The handpiece moves across the treatment area in smooth, systematic passes. The sensation is a gentle suction and mild exfoliation pressure. Most patients find it relaxing rather than uncomfortable. You’ll feel the difference in your skin immediately as the treatment progresses.

Immediately after: Your skin will look noticeably clearer and more radiant. Some patients have a slight flush that settles within an hour or two. You can return to most normal activities right away, though we recommend waiting until the next day for makeup and strenuous exercise.

After care: Avoid direct sun exposure and apply SPF. Don’t use retinoids or exfoliating actives for at least two days post-treatment. The infused serums are still working in the skin, and supporting them with gentle hydrating products and sun protection maximizes the results.

How often: For ongoing skin maintenance, monthly treatments align with the skin’s natural cell turnover cycle and produce the most consistent cumulative improvement. As a standalone glow treatment before an event, once is enough. For addressing specific texture or pigmentation concerns, a series of three to six treatments is usually recommended.

Pairing DiamondGlow With Other Treatments

DiamondGlow works well in combination with other treatments on the same day or as part of a broader skin plan.

With dermaplaning: Dermaplaning first removes vellus hair and the very outermost skin layer, which allows the DiamondGlow exfoliation and infusion to reach even deeper. This combination is particularly popular for pre-event preparation.

With chemical peels: Alternating DiamondGlow and chemical peel sessions across a treatment series addresses both surface texture and deeper cellular renewal more effectively than either does alone.

With injectables: Many patients add DiamondGlow to the same appointment as Botox or filler. The skin treatment doesn’t interfere with injectables and the two together produce a noticeably refreshed overall result.

With medical-grade skincare: We’ll recommend a home protocol to extend your DiamondGlow results, typically featuring a vitamin C serum, SPF, and a hydrating moisturizer. We carry SkinMedica and other medical-grade lines in-office.

Is DiamondGlow Right for You?

DiamondGlow is appropriate for most skin types and most adults in generally good health. It’s one of the more universally accessible skin treatments because the intensity can be adjusted and the serums are customized, making it suitable for sensitive skin, oily skin, dry skin, and most concern types.

We’d recommend postponing treatment if you have active inflammatory acne or eczema in the treatment area, as the vacuum and exfoliation can aggravate inflamed skin. Pregnancy is generally considered safe for DiamondGlow though we’d avoid certain serum formulations with specific actives as a precaution. Let us know at booking.
